GK Corporation
Thank you for visiting our website. Fires and explosions are caused by the combination of three factors; oxygen, flammable material, and ignition source. In many explosions without an apparent cause, the ignition source is static electricity. Since oxygen and flammable materials cannot easily be removed, the elimination of an ignition source is sufficient to prevent fires and explosions. In petrochemical and oil refining plants, all liquids are transported through pipelines. The majority of these liquids conduct little to no electricity. Therefore, when friction occurs between a fast-flowing liquid and a slow-flowing liquid, static electricity is produced. Because the liquid does not conduct electricity well, the static electricity thus produced ends up becoming concentrated internally, instead of being dissipated through grounding or bonding. This concentrated electricity becomes greater the longer and bigger the pipeline, the faster the flow speed, and the lower the conduction rate. The system newly developed by GK allows such static electricity to be clearly detected and effectively eliminated, to prevent explosion. This system consists of two parts. The first is an electrostatic transmitter that verifies the presence of static electricity. When the transmitter is attached to a pipeline, reactor, bag filter, or similar device, it detects the static electricity that has been produced. The second part is designed to eliminate static electricity. This part of the device channels the static electricity within a pipeline to a recorder or alarm control system and removes it. This takes the ignition source out of the equation, thus eliminating the danger of fires and explosions. We stake our company reputation and national pride on keeping you and your company safe. Your happiness is our business.
